In-game archive description
This soft, bouncy pudding-pup Anima often gets flattened by the pressures of life. Clever humans use this fact to give themselves a bit of a boost, bouncing high into the sky.
This is the text the game shows for Puddlipup, transcribed verbatim by the Honkai: Nexus Anima Wiki (English original).
Where Puddlipup fits
Puddlipup is an Satiation Anima, filed under “Frontline Tank” in the archive. Frontline tanks take the opening exchanges so the carry survives to the late rounds.
In an auto battler the role decides placement rather than button presses: frontline units absorb the opening exchanges, backline units want the fight to last. Check the aspect index before building a team around one Anima.
Puddlipup — story entry
Puddlipup was confused. Eggnok often shared its stories of a rebellious, scrappy childhood with Puddlipup, hoping to encourage Puddlipup to be tougher against those awful humans who pushed it around. "Woof?" What's tough? But I was born all soft and squishy, wasn't I!? "Woof..." Sometimes, it did feel like humans could be a little... too enthusiastic, and it wasn't great at handling that kind of attention. In fact, it was even a bit introverted. "Woof!" Puddlipup suddenly seemed to understand what tough meant... After all, it knew some humans preferred hard, coarse bread... But it was born all soft and squishy, wasn't it!? Whaddaya want it to do!?
