In-game archive description
Mesmerith has a self-absorbed personality and loves wearing beautiful accessories. It fixates on those its Animaster despises, and that hatred is capable of destroying anything.
This is the text the game shows for Mesmerith, transcribed verbatim by the Honkai: Nexus Anima Wiki (English original).
Where Mesmerith fits
Mesmerith is an Hate Anima, filed under “Backline Carry” in the archive. Backline carries are the damage plan — they need the front row to hold without them.
In an auto battler the role decides placement rather than button presses: frontline units absorb the opening exchanges, backline units want the fight to last. Check the aspect index before building a team around one Anima.
Mesmerith — story entry
Keeping the right distance is a tricky part of human socializing, and truth be told, Mesmerith aren't much better at it. People are often drawn to their cute, compact forms, chasing after them in the wild. To a Mesmerith, it's all just a fun game. But when someone gets too close, or tries to scoop one up, anxiety sets in. Instinctively, it tries to calm the other party down only, it tends to overdo it. Only then does it realize, with some guilt, that humans, for all their size, really aren't that frightening.
